“I've had the pleasure of working with Ed about 5 times in the past 6ish years. (I don't have the best of luck..) EVERY VISIT he has made my car look like NEW! I just pick up my car Monday after a total new front end replacement... He when above and beyond - buffed out my side door with a complimentary exterior and interior cleaning!!! ( I have TWO dirty kids!)

It was so nice driving a clean car!!!!!!! ( thank you SO much ED!!)

“Go see Ed, the most reputable guy in the business. When a deer jumped on the hood of our Fusion we were distraught, but not only did Ed take care of the damage (the car looks brand new) but he even repaired a leak we had for no charge. We took the car in Tuesday and picked it up Thursday. A day ahead of schedule. As if that wasn't enough, he paid our deductible. Thanks Ed !”

“My family has used this shop over the years and it has always been a wonderful and fair experience. Previously, Ed had fixed my dad’s Mazda (due to my 2 significant fender benders in high school) basically from ground up, and both were done beautifully and at a reasonable price. More than 10 years later, recently my dad got a replacement fog lamp cover due to some freeway debrief ripping it off. Ed was able to order, replace and realign the cover and fender that was bent from the highway debris. Also was able to buff out a scratch! Customer service is really key when you’re looking at someone that is repairing/fixing your vehicle. Super fair pricing and quick service! Will definitely keep recommending their shop for years!”

“My Dodge Dart sustained some front bumper damage due to a hit and run. I obtained 3 estimates to fix the problem, and Ed's estimate ($600.40) was $340 cheaper than the dealer and $137 cheaper than a different body shop. His body shop was efficient, receptive to questions, and overall I'm very happy with the work that has been completed.”

“Several weeks ago I was in a car accident but an agent, Ed Cano, helped me immensly while my husband was away. While giving me advice on whether or not I should buy a used car or repair my old one, he helped out with taking care of the accident and later on, assisted me in choosing the best course of action on what to do about the cars. He took it a step further to look out for the customer's best interest and gave great advice as well as aid to me. I'm thankful for all the help I've gotten from him and his company.”

The Collision Shop was over $350 cheaper than the estimate I received from the dealership. My biggest fear of the repairs I had was that the new paint on the new bumper would not match the rest of the car. Ed assured me that it will match. After the repairs were made I was amazed! It was as if the accident never happened.”

“We brought our Ford fusion here for a damaged side mirror and they did a great job at a reasonable price. very courteous too. So We brought in another car that had some damage after a side swipe incident that resulted in a noise whenever the door was opened/closed that would have cost thousands at a dealership body shop where they would have wanted to replace the panel but this place was able to bump it out so well I couldnt even tell where the damage was.”

“We have had The Collision Shop repair our cars over the years and highly recommend them. They take a great deal of pride in their workmanship and it shows. Every repair they've done for us was seamless.

Their pricing is extremely reasonable, which helps when one of your daughters hits something like a snow bank made of ice when she's learning to drive and you don't go through insurance. Trust me on this one. I doubt anyone can beat their pricing.

This shop is extremely efficient and they get the job done fast! I've gone to other places where it took a month to get the car back--never the case at The Collision Shop!

The repair took a couple days longer than expected because more damages were discovered underneath the exterior so additional parts need to be ordered . But that's normal in all my body shop experiences. I work for the Big Three on the FESM so I understand all the work was required. The best part was when I got the car back both the inside and outside were cleaned. Thanks Ed!”

“Disclaimer: I have yet to experience their full service for a crashed or banged up vehicle.

I have been to this collision shop twice for some really minor things on my car and the owner has always been really accommodating. In fact at one time he saved me about $10 by doing a quick fix for free and that type of customer service is great. I finally actually have some real damage to my car and this is the only shop I am going to go to. Will probably do an update after I got the full service fix from them.”

“First let me say that although I have researched on Yelp for years, I just now joined, specifically to be able to review The Collision Shop. Yesterday, this place saved me $840 !!
How did they do that?! Allow me to explain...I just received a new license plate for my 2008 Toyota Avalon. (btw, the State of Michigan has a new law requiring that a plate must be replaced if it is 10 yrs. old, so it wasn't my decision to purchase a 'fancy' new plate, it was mandatory!) In attempting to remove the old plate (rusted bolts - WD40 wasn't much help) the hole where the bolt attaches to the bumper cracked. And the other bolt was impossible for me
to remove. I went to the local dealership, and they referred me to 'their' body shop, which
is not specifically theirs, it does body shop work on all makes and models. I drove over there
immediately. Since the plate on my Toyota (which is in really good overall shape) is attached to the bumper itself, initially the body shop estimator/advisor said they would have to replace the bumper! However, instead they could probably do it a more economical way, but it would be a 'one-time fix' so if/when removing the plate next time it would be the same problem. Estimate of doing it the less expensive way: $850.00 I was stunned! Realllly? To be able to fix this so my license plate is attached?! And they would have to keep my car for 3-4 days!
Come on, that is ridiculous!
I said I would have to think about this. I did more than think about it...I got mad.

Yelp to the rescue! I found The Collision Shop in Troy. Ed took one look at it, said fixing it shouldn't be a problem, and went to get one of his team to look at it. Immediately they
agreed they could fix it right then, and they did! Ed said the charge would be $10.00
Yes...ten dollars! A couple of new, larger bolts, a piece on the back of each to hold in place.
The tech even came out to show me the new bolts before he attached them, and asked me if
I thought they looked okay! My car was finished in MINUTES, they even put on the new frame I had brought in with me.

I told Ed I found them on Yelp and I said would be giving them a well-deserved rave review!
The Collision Shop does things the RIGHT way. They are honest do adhere to a Code of Ethics. (Obviously, unlike that dealer body shop...no wonder people don't trust those.) I come
in contact with a lot of people, I will recommend Ed and The Collision Shop to everyone!”

“Someone left a nice present on my bumper of my car one morning. I went to three different places to get quotes. It was a smaller job but nonetheless, I wanted it fixed. Not only was the collision shop the cheapest, they promised to get it done the quickest. And they delivered. Ed, the owner was so nice to work with and his follow through was amazing. You can tell he takes pride in his business and goes above and beyond.”

“I went to Ed's shop 5 years ago for a repair and his quote is much lower than other collision shop. Since then, I referred a lot of friends to his shop. He deals with insurance co after I informed my insurance co that I left my with him. He will help to fix the car with low cost if I don't want to go through insurance claim.”

I took it here since the dealership body shop personnel was generally indifferent and holier than thou acting, so I shopped around and got a quote that was $1,600 less - and the work is immaculate!
